Spend New Year’s Out in Fort Wayne

New Year’s is almost upon us, and sometimes the options can be overwhelming. No need to worry; ring in 2015 at any one of these great events! Whether the whole family is looking to celebrate, or just you and that special someone, or even you and a group of friends, the Summit City has plenty of options to make sure 2015 starts out with a bang!

For the family:

Roller Dome North

The Roller Dome North has a variety of ways to let the kiddies have a great and happy New Year. Arrive early, and enjoy a Kid’s New Years Eve Party from noon-4pm. Admission is $5.50 per person and that includes the price of skates. After this, from 7:30pm-5am, there is a NYE All Night Skate. This is a great option for kids of all ages and could give the older kids an option to hang out with their friends in a fun and safe environment. Komet Hockey

Fort Wayne Komet Hockey

Take the whole family, and watch the Komets take on the Indy Fuel at the Memorial Coliseum at 7:30 pm. Komets games are a great atmosphere and fun for kids of all ages; cheer along with Icy, win prizes or t-shirts, and maybe even pick up a Dip’n Dots to make the trip extra special. This New Year’s Eve tradition fills up quick, so make sure to get there early. Tickets start at just $13 for the upper deck; and as an added bonus, the game is early enough that there is still plenty of time to go out after, should you chose.

Science Central’s Countdown to Noon

The Countdown to Noon is especially great for the younger kiddos who may not be able to make it all the way to midnight. From 10am-2pm, bring the whole family out to Science Central for the 15th annual event. The event includes fun NYE themed activities as well as the balloon drop! Admission is $8 per person.

Diner at Biaggi’s

Biaggi’s Italian Restaurant will be offering a special New Year’s Eve Chef’s Menu for those looking for a delicious and quiet New Year’s dinner. While the menu is not finalized yet, you can rest assured that the food will be delicious! Last year’s meal included three courses and a glass of house wine to top it off! Reservations are suggested; to set yours up today, call (260) 459-6700.

Club Soda

Club Soda offers one of the city’s premier New Year’s experiences. With live jazz music and some of the best martinis in the city, Club Soda offers the full experience – great food, great atmosphere, and great drinks! Reservations are required, and tables are going quick, so be sure to call soon at (260) 426-3442.

Main Street Bistro and Martini Lounge

Swing by this downtown hotspot for a great New Year’s Eve experience. Main Street will be offering  NYE menu and drink specials, which they are in the process of making extra special. There will also be a live band to entertain for the night. Treat yourself to a unique martini and enjoy the exciting atmosphere of this modern lounge. Night on the Town:

New Years at Don Hall’s Guesthouse

It’s back again! Don Hall’s Guesthouse will be hosting a big New Year’s bash again this year. The guesthouse still has a few hotel rooms and party packages available, but they are going quick! The party will be in the Grand Ballroom and doors open at 6:30pm. The buffet will be live from 7pm-9pm and will be followed by dancing and live entertainment courtesy of Paul Stewart featuring Brian & JJ McCoy. There will also be a complimentary champagne toast at midnight! Tickets for the party only are $106 per couple. New Year’s Eve at the Philmore

The Philmore hosts a VIP New Year’s experience you won’t forget! The party begins as you cross the velvet ropes and step onto the red carpet leading to the historic theater. Photographers will line the walkway to provide a true Hollywood experience. VIPs will enjoy a delicious dinner on the private balcony and have access to the bar’s top-shelf liquors, which are complimentary from 9pm-midnight. All guests will be able to enjoy a live band, comedic MC, waitress service, and party favors. After the ball drops, the theater is transformed into Fort Wayne’s hottest dance club. Ceruti’s Countdown to 2015

Don’t miss this night of fun! This holiday party, for those 21+, is sure to be a great night! Located at Ceruti’s Banquet and Event Center, this NYE bash includes live music and hourly give-a-ways, which include weekend trips and gift cards to your favorite locals eateries. The party begins at 8pm and will last well into the new year. Tickets are $30 per person and include hors d’Oeuvres, party favors, a midnight champagne toast, and access to great entertainment. Grand Wayne Convention Center

Swingin’ Singin’ New Year’s Eve

Heartland Sings wants to bring back the New Year’s entertainment scene in a big way. Seeing an opening for a unique NYE experience, Heartland chorus is hosting a big New Year’s shindig at the Grand Wayne Center. The concert begins at 10pm in the Grand Wayne Center Convention Hall. Tickets start at $60 per person and include hors d’oeuvres and one drink ticket and champagne toast for those over 21. The Heartland jazz vocalists and big band orchestra promise a night of exciting live music and dancing to last through to the new year. Get dressed up, and take this opportunity to head into the heart of downtown Fort Wayne. Hotel bundle packages are also available through the Hilton and Courtyard Marriott.

 

Don’t forget to take advantage of the Free Holiday Cab as well. The city of Fort Wayne is once again making sure that everyone arrives homes safely; the service picks up only in Fort Wayne and will take you home for free within a 10 mile radius of the bar. You may go further than 10 miles, but anything after that will not be covered. The cab service runs from December 18 – New Year’s Eve and will be available from 8pm-2am.
